Services
Web design, ecommerce and digital marketing for UK manufacturers, from one team in Manchester. We build the thing that sells, then we get the right people to it, and because both jobs sit at the same desks, neither one gets to blame the other.

One team for the build and the marketing
Most manufacturers buy their website from one company and their marketing from another. Then the two companies spend the budget blaming each other.
We have watched it from both sides, because we are regularly asked to market a site someone else built, or to rebuild a site someone else is marketing. The pattern is always the same: the work that decides whether a site can be found is designed in, or designed out, long before any marketing starts, and by then it is somebody else’s invoice.
- The marketing agency asks for changes; the web agency quotes for them
- A slow site is a hosting problem or a build problem, depending on who you ask
- Search visibility is retrofitted after launch, at extra cost
- You manage the relationship between the two suppliers
- When results stall, each points at the other
- The people doing the marketing sit with the people who built the site
- A slow site is our problem, whatever is causing it
- Search visibility is designed in before a page is built
- One contact, one invoice, one plan
- If it is not working, that is ours to fix
So we do both jobs, and have done since 2003. The Build column above covers design, ecommerce and the 3D and AI work; the Grow column covers search, answer engines, paid traffic and social. You can hire us for either half on its own, and plenty of clients do. The point is that whichever half you buy, it is built by people who understand the other one.
The B2B realities we build for
Selling machined components to a procurement team is nothing like selling trainers, and an agency raised on consumer brands will miss what makes it different. These are the things we expect to deal with, because we deal with them every week.
-
Long sales cycles
A buyer might research for months before anyone rings you. The site has to win a place on the shortlist and be easy to come back to, not just win a click.
-
Distributors and resellers
Selling around your own channel can wreck it. We build sites that support distributors where the channel matters, and sell direct where that is the plan.
-
Technical specification
Engineers buy on the datasheet. Drawings, tolerances, standards and CAD files are content that gets you specified, not clutter to hide in a download page.
-
Trade pricing
Different accounts pay different prices, buy in pack quantities and order against terms. Consumer shopping carts fight all of that; ours are built for it.
-
More than one decision maker
The engineer specifies, procurement negotiates and the MD signs. One site has to convince all three, and they read different pages.
-
Sales engineers' knowledge
Your best people answer the same technical questions every week on the phone. We turn those answers into pages, which is what search engines and AI tools reward.
Almost all of our clients make things
We work almost exclusively with UK manufacturers and the distributors who serve them. That is a choice, not an accident.
It means the awkward parts of your world are the normal parts of ours. We already know what a distributor agreement does to an ecommerce plan, why the datasheet matters more than the strapline, and why the person who fills in the contact form is rarely the person who signs. You are not paying us to learn your industry, because we have spent more than twenty years in it.
It also means we will tell you when something is not worth doing. A specialist gets recommended from one factory to the next, and that only happens if the advice is straight.
How an engagement starts
A conversation
Tell us what you make, who buys it and what the website is failing to do. Half an hour, on the phone or at your place. It costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
A straight recommendation
We look at what you have and tell you what we would do, in what order, and what it would cost. Written down, in plain English, and yours to keep either way.
Your decision, at your pace
Some clients want the whole job, some want one problem fixed first. We would rather start small and earn the rest than sell you everything on day one.
Tell us what you make
Tell us what you make and what the website is not doing for you. You will get a straight answer about what we would do and roughly what it would cost, not a pitch.
