Ecodrive Transmissions Ltd is an authorised ZF DriveCentre providing a UK-wide ZF transmission and driveline support service. They operate from an extensive 1,150M² head office, workshop and parts facility near Bolton.

In 2012 the company’s business plan set out a sales strategy focusing on new markets and customers. Enquiries from overseas showed that there was a demand for their products abroad and potential for opening up new export markets.

The company website was seen as a key part of serving this export market, with its capacity to provide information and support 24/7. The existing site was not fit for purpose – it looked dated and had limited functionality. Ecodrive were looking to offer a more interactive, user-friendly experience and an online sales platform.

From the start The Artlab team’s approach was thorough and professional but not overly technical, which helped me and my colleagues enormously. Working together we achieved our goal in having a website that was interactive, viewable on all platforms and most importantly, will promote sales growth worldwide.

“People now access the internet through a range of devices, which wasn’t the case when we built our old website. A device-friendly design was one of the key elements we wanted going forwards, to make sure we were keeping up with this trend”, said Steve Allen, Managing Director at Ecodrive.

The Artlab team built a responsive website and e-commerce platform for Ecodrive. Visitors can not only view product information and pricing online, but also access resources such as guides, parts lists and service and repair manuals.

SEO and content are the focus of marketing activities now that the new site is launched.

“I must say I gave myself a pat on the back for choosing The Artlab to help us build our new website. Bringing together client and contractor from totally differing backgrounds is not always easy, but The Art Lab made it quite simple”, said Steve.
